Getting started

We start with a quick chat to understand your inventory management software requirements, followed by an in-depth scoping exercise. Cin7 Omni is a comprehensive, complex and powerful piece of software, and we need to make sure we're 100 percent aligned to your business needs before starting on the implementation.

Time to implement

The actual implementation and go-live can often be done quickly - but what's much more important is that you and your staff understand and embrace what's happening, how to use Cin7, and to make sure your staff are traned and ready. We work with you to appoint a "Champion" whose becomes your Cin7 expert and key contact within your team.

How much does it cost?

We work with you to determine the scope of work and provide you with a quote. Cost is determined by how long it takes to get data into shape, and by any extra requirements like form design or custom training. Cin7 has its own monthly subscription cost, and there are no long-term contracts.

Support and training

We are the most experienced Cin7 Omni partner. We've done more implementations and support more clients than anyone else, and what tends to work best for our clients is a simple long-term support model based on your needs, paid at our hourly rate.

Do you support Cin7 Core?

Yes we do. We favour Omni because we have sooo much experience with it. 

We also implement, train and support Core users.

Do Beyond Expectations support non-Cin7 IMS systems?

Sometimes. It depends on your specific use case, but we tend to work with customers who will get most benefit from Cin7 Omni (and sometimes, Cin7 Core.) If you have any questions, contact us - we are happy to chat, and if it turns out your business will be better off on Omni or Core, we can help get you migrated. 

Is Cin7 intended for specific industries?

Both Core & Omni are relevant to a vast number of business types. Our customer base is dominated by fashion brands, but also well represented by import & distribution, light manufacturing, food & beverage production (not restaurants or bars), FMCG or CPG brands, construction products, personal care, beauty, accessories, flooring, sporting goods. 

That covers a heap of organisations.

My business is unique in the way that it operates. How does Cin7 cater for this?

Of course your business is special. 

There are so few businesses out there that buy products, store them, convert them to other products, and sell products. 

Cin7 copes with those workflows very well.

Our approach is to review current workflows and test them against 'best practice' and efficiency. It's unusual for a process to not fit into the high level description of the business provided above.

What is a standout feature of Cin7?

Having implemented Cin7 Omni for hundreds of companies, we notice how suited it is to scaling up for business growth.

From small beginnings to massive transaction volumes with connections to many webstores and market places, Omni handles it all with ease. Many of the steps required to process transactions may be automated so human intervention is not required. This allows a business to take on much more without adding more people.

My inventory value in Cin7 Omni doesn't equal my Balance Sheet figure in Xero. Why?

This is a common question and comes about because the link between Cin7 and Xero expects accuracy & discipline in the way transactions are processed. Sometimes the people processing transaction don't have those attributes. 

The checklist to ensure alignment includes:

  • ensure all transactions that can be completed are fully completed

  • post all transactions to Xero and approved in Xero

  • treat the Inventory and COGS accounts as control accounts

  • use the reconciliation tools in Omni to balance EVERY month
